Dance Classes
Dance is now becoming one of the most popular leisure pastimes, with over a million people in the UK attending classes each week. Trends may come and go but Dance in its varied forms is here to stay!
Research shows that Dance keeps the mind sharp, improves balance, posture, fitness and, can help to improve the quality of your life. Dancers become quick-thinking, light on their feet and by learning to lead and follow couples can improve their communication skills. Because you interact with people, connecting you with others, it can also be a great social activity.
In most of our classes you will be taught by Rob and Caroline so you will benefit from the experience of two qualified teachers and, have tuition from both the male and female dancer’s perspective. And, as they studied Ballroom and Latin American Dance together as a couple from beginner level, they understand how you are likely to feel throughout the learning process.

Improvers – is for those who have covered the basics at beginner level and want to learn more. We teach a greater variety of steps and add extra dances (e.g. tango, slow foxtrot, jive etc.)

Intermediates – this class is a further progression with the aim to improve dance technique and include more advanced choreography.

Children’s – for a mixed range of age and ability. Class always starts off with a warm-up and dance exercises to develop strength, flexibility, expression and technique. We then dance choreographed Freestyle routines, which are varied frequently to keep up to date with the latest music. Class ends with a short Ballroom/Latin section.

We also offer:-
Private tuition / 1 to 1 sessions – for singles or couples who prefer not to join a group, or class members who would like some extra personal coaching. We also cater for people with a special goal in mind, for example the first dance at their wedding. And from this September we are also offering semi-private lessons for small groups of family/friends that want to learn privately.
Regular social/practice nights – offer the chance for our students to meet and practice the dances they are learning in class.
National Association of Teachers of Dancing, amateur Medal Tests – as member teachers of this Association we offer the opportunity for students to take medal tests. These are not compulsory and take place at regular intervals for all of those that wish to participate.
From time to time we also organise other dance events .
